Re-installing Operating Systems

This is the core of your computer. If the Operating System (O/S) becomes corrupt it can cause your PC to start running slowly, become unstable or even stop working completely. By repairing/re-installing the O/S the PC can be restored to its original condition and speed.

Re-installing Applications

Applications can sometimes lose data (file corruption) or be disabled by viruses. Sometimes they need to be completely re-installed in order to work properly again. After re-installing the O/S it is normally required that any applications you had installed previously be re-installed.

Hard Drive Re-partitioning

The Hard Drive stores your operating system and all your data. Sometimes it runs better when a large drive is split into smaller sections (Partitions). We have tools that allow us to change the size of existing partitions, add new ones and remove old ones. This allows you to keep all your own files on a partition separate to your system partition, stopping the system drive becoming too full and therefore stopping the PC running.

Hardware Driver Re-installation or Update

Hardware Drivers are the bits of code that allow your O/S to use the Hardware in your PC. Every piece of hardware, from Graphics Cards to Card Readers require a driver to function. By ensuring your drivers are up to date you reduce the chances of hardware malfunctions. After re-installing the O/S all non-standard Hardware Drivers must be re-installed before that hardware will function correctly
